Every Wednesday night at Strictly Whip Dance Club, while the members are dancing the Whip, our DJ's provide a wide variety of music for our dancing pleasure. 

DJ's are happy to take requests.  Although their main format is R&B, they throw in line dances, C&W and the occasional hip-hop. 

If you have a special song that you want to hear, just email the name of the artist and name of the song or as much info as you have on that song, such as some of the lyrics.  Please include your name and phone in case we have questions.        music@dancestrictlywhip.org

Guest DJ's are invited to play on our party nights and 5th week party nights. SWDC has the best Guest DJ's in the Whip world!  Awesome and inspiring, 'ya gotta make the parties just to hear the music.

Swing Music

Some musicians say there is no such thing as 'swing music,' there is only music that 'swings.'  Swing dance music is as varied as the many styles of swing dance.   Swing music may include styles such as jazz, hip-hop, rock-n-roll, ragtime, R&B, funk, pop & C&W.   Swing dancers enjoy dancing to many different rhythms, as slower beats allow them a break. 

The Whip can be danced to all the above listed styles of music.  Dancers have personal preferences but must be accepting and tolerant of a wide variety of music styles.  Every dancer likes  different music styles and speed!
